🌟 Enjoy a special preview of this month's call replay! We're sharing a short snippet to give our free subscribers a taste of the rich discussions and timely insights we explored together. If you're not already a paid subscriber, consider upgrading to access the full recording and be part of upcoming sessions.

Thank you to everyone who joined our May Momentum Call! With Charlie traveling, Steve joined me (thanks Steve!) as we explored design your rhythm and prepare for seasonal changes that can either support or disrupt your most important work.

Our conversation centered around two essential questions: What are you optimizing for? and What permission do you need? From managing multiple competing projects to allowing yourself to rest during slower periods, we explored how clarity around your priorities and giving yourself permission to honor them can transform your approach to summer planning.

  • Optimization and Permission. Moving beyond productivity buzzwords to ask what you truly want to optimize for this summer, whether that's spaciousness, creativity, rest, or meaningful progress on specific projects.

  • Seasonal Preparation and Energy Management. Understanding your personal and team energy cycles during summer months and adjusting schedules accordingly.

  • Project Prioritization When Everything Feels Important. Using the β€œ4 Fs” framework (Firefighting, Future-building, Frogs, Fun) to navigate multiple competing priorities while optimizing for what matters most to you.

  • Navigating Business Transitions and Slow Periods. Recognizing shifts in business lifecycle stages, celebrating increased team capacity, and using quieter periods strategically for higher-level planning.

  • Permission to Rest and Recharge. Addressing the challenge of slowing down without feeling like a β€œslacker,” and reframing rest as a necessary practice for sustainable work.

  • Consistent Small Practices. How manageable actions aligned with your values can lead to significant momentum, especially when energy feels scattered or limited.

So what will you optimize for this summer? And, what permission do you need to do so?
