A Dream List |

The Spooky season and I am back with a sponsored Etsy post today.

Etsy has an incredible Halloween Guide of fun costumes, décor and party supplies, but I've gone through and found 12 dream items that I would eventually like to have to deck out our here, because last Halloween we learned the most exciting thing.

We actually get trick-or-treaters.

Like –  a lot of trick-or-treaters. Like… of levels I haven't seen since childhood. And, as someone new to living in the suburbs of the UK, I didn't want to go all overdoing it American on our home since I have generally been under the impression Halloween is a lot less of a deal over here.

But this year. This year, I go full American on our home. I will deck this sucker out. I was mentioning to a local friend that I had been scared to do it because I didn't want to look crazy to our neighbors, since no one else seemed to be doing it. But he said that the feeling was probably mutual for everyone, so it really just takes one person.

Let's see if I can be that person this year. I may have to spend a few years slowly collecting these items from Etsy (this year is more of a Poundland/ B&M Halloween), but this is my list of aspirational decorations:

 For the door:

I have to admit that I think Etsy has some incredible wreaths if you happen to have like a $200 budget for a Halloween wreath. I… do not… lol… not even in my imaginary dream list here. So here are some that are a little more I still like too.

For outside:

We have a tiny patch of grass next to our door that could use something silly and scary too. Like…

For the windows:

I think these ghost candles are super and we have a larger window everyone walks by to get to the door. I'm also a sucker for a fun lighting element. These mason jars and ceramic jack-o-lanterns look super cool to me.

For the candy bowl:

What do we think, should I just one or two in with the candy? Maybe a little later into the evening so I don't scare the little .

For me:

Part of my excitement for this holiday is that my partner and I chill on the couch in between doorbell rings and watch scary movies. So while I'm not super interested in a full Halloween costume, I wouldn't mind a little holiday spirit for answering the door and I think these tops are my spooky season vibe:

How about you? Do you deck out your house for Halloween? Do you get a lot of trick-or-treaters these ?
