Singapore may be small, but it never runs out of surprises—and Artyzen Singapore is one of them.
Tucked within the city's most bustling shopping district, this thoughtfully designed boutique hotel is a love letter to local heritage, reframed through a fresh, modern lens.
During my recent stay, I discovered that Artyzen isn't just a place to rest your head—it's a full sensory experience. From elegant interiors that whisper of Peranakan charm to dining that reimagines forgotten local flavours, every detail has been designed to connect you to Singapore's rich, multicultural story.
While Artyzen proudly pays tribute to Singaporean heritage, it does so with an eye for the contemporary. Arched doorways meet clean lines, nostalgic flavours are reinterpreted through modern plating, and digital conveniences—like automated curtains and smart TVs—make the stay effortless.
The hotel is a beautiful blend of past and present, designed for the modern traveller who appreciates culture, style and thoughtfulness.
Whether you're in town for business, leisure, or a staycation, this hotel invites you to slow down, savour, and rediscover the familiar with new eyes. Here's what it's like checking into Artyzen Singapore.
Checking In To Artyzen Singapore
From the moment I stepped into Artyzen Singapore, I could already sense it wasn't going to be your typical city hotel.
Tucked away in Orchard's buzzing district yet carrying an air of serenity, Artyzen feels like a stylish sanctuary built around stories, culture, and intention.
Check-in was smooth and fuss-free, but what stood out was the warmth and personal touch—welcomed not just with smiles but with Nyonya snacks laid out thoughtfully in the room.
Every part of the experience was a gentle nod to heritage, a modern spin on local character that felt familiar, yet new.
Artyzen's Room
The rooms here are a dream. Framed by high ceilings, arched doorways, and cleverly placed mirrors to enhance its space, the space felt expansive and elegant—surprisingly roomy for a central city hotel.
And then came the moment of magic: after leaving the room to check out the rest of the property, we returned to find the curtains automatically sliding open, revealing the glittering cityscape outside. It felt like the room was whispering, “Welcome back.”
Inside the room, every detail had a purpose—from the personalised welcome card, to bedroom slippers sized just right for him and her, to a smart TV that easily connected to our own devices, allowing us the flexibility of our own choice of entertainment before bed.
Every corner of Artyzen oozes quality craftsmanship. From the plushness of the bed linens to the fine grain of the wooden furniture, the textures, materials and details feel deliberately curated. Even the in-room pen had a surprising weight to it. Of course, I had to take that home with me as a souvenir from Artyzen!
It's the kind of place where you want to take home everything – the slippers, the soap, the toiletries—not because they're convenient, but because they're just too good to be discarded!
Sustainability isn't a buzzword here—it's embedded thoughtfully into the guest experience. From refillable toiletries and eco-conscious packaging to even disposable toothpaste in recyclable containers (that's a first for me!), Artyzen makes it easy to feel good about your stay. It's a subtle, intentional kind of sustainability that doesn't compromise on comfort or luxury, but simply aligns with mindful living.
Even the in-room amenities—like reusable glass bottles for water and minimal plastic use—reflect their eco-forward approach.
The turn-down service was a surprising little delight. Each night, a strip of paper would be left on our bedside tables, with a tiny tidbit of Singaporean culture—one night it was about kueh, another about Singlish. I now use them as bookmarks.
Artyzen's Amenities
Pool
The rooftop infinity pool is a standout—offering a sweeping view over Singapore's prime residential area, and where we spent most of our only morning here, soaking in the morning rays. But what really took my breath away was the cantilevered glass floor at the edge of the property, giving you a glimpse straight down 20 storeys. A thrill and a view, all in one.
Gym
The gym was stocked with brand-new, state-of-the-art equipment. Everything sparkled. Whether you're serious about workouts or just want to stretch, it's got what you need.
Wellness
Artyzen comes equipped with a weekly Wellness Calendar, everything from sound healing to yoga and HIIT. On the Sunday morning we stayed, we participated in the sound healing meditation for an hour. Nothing like starting the day so well-rested.
Parking
If you're driving, parking is available onsite in the basement—a rarity in Orchard. It was convenient for us to get to and from Artyzen with a car, not having to worry about parking exorbitant fees in the city's shopping district.
Complimentary Transport
One thoughtful perk that made exploring Singapore a breeze, especially for tourists: Artyzen offers complimentary transport within 1.5km, making it easy to zip around the area without the hassle. Locations like Botanic Gardens are within easy reach.
Dining At Artyzen
Cocktails At The Roof Garden
As evening fell, we made our way up to The Roof Garden, perched high above the city on Artyzen's rooftop. What greeted us was nothing short of magic—a softly lit open-air space with panoramic views over West Orchard and the distant, green ridges of Bukit Timah.
By day, the rooftop is a tranquil escape, but come golden hour, it transforms. The city skyline takes on a warm glow, the breeze picks up just enough to rustle your hair, and The Roof Garden comes alive.
We ordered cocktails—each one a clever take on classics, infused with tropical or regional twists. With a drink in hand and the sky slowly changing hues above us, it felt like we were somewhere far from the bustle below.
Dinner At Quenino By Victor Liong
This is where the hotel truly shines—Quenino is not just a restaurant, it's an experience.
Dinner was marketed as a six-course meal, but really, it unfolded into so much more. Dish after dish arrived, each one a reimagination of lesser-known Singaporean classics—like the familiar cuttlefish kang kong turned on its head with octopus and local greens.
The textures, flavours, and plating were a feast for all senses. Chef de Cuisine Sujatha herself would come out to introduce each course, adding a human touch to every plate.
And the pace—perfect. Courses came swiftly, yet never rushed. The team clearly had the dance of hospitality down to an art form.
This is truly fine dining at its best. The plates, cutlery, glassware—all feel premium in your hand. Check out their lunch and dinner offerings here.
Breakfast At Cafe Quenino
Come morning, breakfast was a semi-buffet affair, with made-to-order hot mains and a generous spread of pastries, fruits, and local bites.
The setting was what truly elevated the experience. Morning light filtered through soft translucent drapes and cascaded over hanging greenery, casting warm glows onto the tables and guests below. It felt like being in a hidden garden loft, cocooned from the city's chaos. Even though you're in the heart of Orchard, breakfast here felt like a quiet, leafy reprieve—where time slowed, and conversations lingered.
And just like the night before, service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and intuitive.
Artyzen's Location
The location of Artyzen's got to be one of their top selling points. Right in the heart of Orchard, Artyzen gives you access to all the shopping, food, and cultural gems the area is known for—without sacrificing peace and privacy. There are plenty of malls, shops and food options that we'd head out multiple times in the day to quell our restlessness.
Whether you're in town for a staycation, business, or a weekend escape, its central location makes it the perfect launchpad.
Artyzen Singapore blends modern design with cultural storytelling, with every detail—from the weight of the in-room pen to the scent of the shower gel—carefully considered.
The hotel doesn't just offer comfort—it invites you into a story, celebrates local heritage in the most elegant way, and somehow anticipates what you need before you even ask.
It's rare that I struggle to find areas for improvement for a hotel like Artyzen. Here, I did. And I'd return in a heartbeat.
Special thanks to Artyzen for this experience! All opinions remain my own.
