13 Must Visit Cafes In Lombok For Coffee Lovers & Brunch

Kuta Lombok surprised me in the best way. I based myself at Ku Villas, and from the moment I arrived, it was clear that this wasn't anything like the hectic, -driven Kuta you might know from Bali.

Instead, Kuta Lombok feels calmer, cleaner, more spacious, and far more in tune with nature — a place where cafés are tucked between palm trees, beaches stretch for miles, and scooters hum quietly along wide open roads.

Before heading over, I'd already spent 5 months in Bali and was familiar with how lively the café scene is there, how varied the food options are, and even what daily living costs can look like across different parts of the island.

That made it even more interesting to see how Lombok's café culture is growing in its own way — quieter, more relaxed, and still wonderfully affordable.

I up an eSIM before arriving, which made it simple to check maps, opening hours, and café spots while moving around Kuta Lombok

During my days here, I hopped between more than a dozen cafés — everything from coffee bars and leafy garden hideaways to vibrant brunch spots serving smoothie bowls, fresh seafood, and speciality brews.

Each place had its own charm, and exploring them became one of the highlights of my stay.

What made it even easier was how compact Kuta Lombok is.

From Ku Villas, most cafés were just a few minutes away by scooter, making it effortless to try somewhere new every morning.

Whether you're here for surfing, relaxing, or simply soaking up the island pace, these spots add a delicious layer to the experience.

Here's a look at the best cafe spots I visited around Kuta Lombok — each one offering its own vibe, flavours, and reasons to stop by.

Soft music hums in the background while the tropical breeze drifts through, adding to the easygoing atmosphere.

I tried their breakfast bowl, which was generous and beautifully put together, alongside a smoothie made with local fruits.

The coffee here is robust, perfect for kickstarting your day, and the selection of fresh salads and pastries makes it easy to linger over a light brunch.

We arrived just as the sun was climbing, finding a quiet corner in the courtyard where we could watch the day unfold slowly.

I decided to try a few of their sharing plates, including the tapas-style seafood and grilled meats, paired with a fresh tropical cocktail.

One of my favourite reasons to return is their breakfast deal — a croissant and coffee for just USD 2.99 / IDR 50,000  — simple, delicious, what could go wrong with that?!

The minimalist interior, with subtle tropical touches, instantly made it a peaceful retreat from the bustling streets of Kuta Lombok.

True to its reputation, the coffee here is to die for — smooth, aromatic, and made from locally sourced beans.

Their pour-over is a must, while the cold brew and espresso-based drinks are equally .

Pair your coffee with one of their light pastries or a small breakfast plate for the perfect start to your day.

The place lives up to its hype — recommended by everyone!

Though the space is small, lingering too long can be a bit tricky.

Said a satisfied customer:

Rating: 3/5

Nestled in the heart of Kuta Lombok, IKIGAI Premium Açai immediately caught my eye with its bright, tropical vibes.

I opted for their signature açai bowl—a thick, creamy blend topped with fresh seasonal fruits, crunchy granola, and a drizzle of local honey.

Every bite was refreshing and satisfying, perfect for a post-surf recharge or a healthy breakfast.

To accompany it, I tried a matcha latte and a cold-pressed juice; both were fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour.

Inside TGC – The Garden Collective, the lush greenery and natural wood furnishings create a serene oasis in the middle of Kuta Lombok.

Surrounded by greenery and soft ambient lighting, it sets the mood for a calm brunch.

I tried their shakshuka, which was bursting with flavour and beautifully plated, alongside a tropical smoothie bowl filled with fresh, seasonal fruits.

The café focuses on locally sourced ingredients, and the coffee is bold and aromatic.

That said, TGC can be hit or miss — it's essentially an open-air food court serving everything from poke to Japanese to Italian.

While the poke was great, my bacon carbonara at the Italian stall came without bacon, which I'd rate 1/5.

Open daily from 7 am to 11:30 pm, TGC is ideal for a leisurely morning meal, a mid-afternoon coffee break, or even a relaxed evening catch-up with friends.

Its photogenic corners make it a favourite for capturing that quintessential Lombok café vibe.

But keep in mind that with so many different stalls, the food can be a bit of a gamble!

Location

Anchor Café instantly felt like a breath of fresh air as I stepped inside.

The hanging plants, earthy tones, and sunlight pouring through large windows create a bright, inviting atmosphere perfect for a slow morning.

One of the things that drew me in was the “build your own meal” option, letting you choose 3 or 5 items for a customised breakfast bowl.

I opted for a mix of avocado, soft-boiled eggs, and microgreens — the coffee, freshly brewed and perfectly balanced, paired well with the meal.

That said, not everything hit the mark. The cinnamon roll, for example, was a disappointment, and some dishes felt pre-prepared rather than freshly made.

Still, it's a pleasant spot for a relaxed morning, especially if you enjoy assembling your own breakfast.

The smoothie bowls, brimming with tropical fruits, were refreshing and Instagram-worthy.

It's also a great spot for digital nomads, with strong WiFi and quiet corners that make catching up on work or emails a pleasure rather than a chore.

Open daily from 12 pm to 10 pm, Gulas Garden is ideal for a leisurely brunch, an afternoon coffee, or a relaxed evening with friends.

12. Folk Cafe – Kuta Lombok

Folk Cafe, Lombok, Indonesia

Rating: 4/5
Opening Hours: 9 am - 6:30 pm

Must try: Avocado toast, breakfast burrito, flat white

Folk Cafe quickly became one of those places I found myself returning to more than once. Set just off the main road in Kuta Lombok, it has a calm, understated charm that feels effortlessly inviting from the moment you walk in.

The space leans towards a clean, minimalist aesthetic — think neutral tones, wooden finishes, and plenty of natural light filtering through the open layout.

It's relaxed without feeling bland, striking a nice balance between stylish and comfortable.

I went for their avocado toast, topped generously and seasoned well, alongside a flat white that was smooth, strong, and consistently good. The breakfast burrito is another standout — filling, flavourful, and ideal if you're heading out for a long day of exploring.

Rating: 4/5
Opening Hours: 7 am – 10 pm
Price: IDR 120K–280K / USD 8–18 per dish
Must try: BBQ plates, protein bowls, post-workout smoothies

LOKA is a place I've ended up at more times than I can count — mostly because it's attached to the gym I go to, and it naturally becomes the post-workout café of choice. The setup is functional yet relaxed, with an easygoing atmosphere that suits its fitness-focused crowd.

The menu leans heavily towards protein-rich, health-conscious meals, making it a solid option if you're refuelling after a session. Some dishes really shine, while others are a bit hit-or-miss. The açai bowl, for instance, wasn't quite for me and felt heavier than expected.

One thing that consistently draws people in is their weekend BBQ, which tends to fill up quickly. It's popular for a reason, so reserving ahead is a smart move if you're planning to go.

Overall, LOKA works best if you know what you're ordering — a reliable spot for hearty, nutritious meals, especially if training is part of your daily routine in Kuta Lombok.

LOKA is open daily from 7 am to 10 pm, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a post-workout refuel.

1. Sonya's Seafood

Sonya's seafood, Lombok, Indonesia

Rating: 5/5
Opening Hours: 10 am - 10 pm
Price: IDR 200K–450K / USD 13–30 per dish
Must try: Grilled fish, seafood platter, prawn skewers

Seafood lovers, this one's for you. Sonya's Seafood is a laid-back local café where the fresh, locally caught fish are the real stars, giving it a grungy charm in local fashion like nowhere else.

I tried the grilled fish and a seafood platter, and every bite balanced natural flavour with light, expert seasoning.

The prawn skewers were juicy, and the tropical cocktails paired perfectly with the seafood, making it feel like a true island feast.

Inside and outdoor seating is simple but comfortable, giving the place a relaxed, no-frills vibe.

It's authentic, fresh, and a big plus—the price tag is totally worth it for such a genuine local experience.

One customer summed it up nicely:

“I really love eating here because when you order fish, it already comes with stir fried vegetables, rice, and sambal. No need to order extras it's a complete meal that's filling and delicious. The flavor is great, the sambal is perfectly spicy, portions are just right, and the price is totally worth it for the Kuta area.”

Location

2. Fish Bones Warung – Kuta Lombok

Fish Bones Warung, Lombok, Indonesia

Rating: 3/5
Opening Hours: 11 am – 10 pm
Price: IDR 180K–350K / USD 12–23 per dish
Must try: Grilled fish, seafood BBQ platters

Fish Bones Warung is another popular local BBQ spot, best known for its prime location right on Kuta Lombok's main street.

The food is solid, with fresh seafood cooked over open flames, but the convenience of the location does come at a cost.

Prices here are noticeably higher than similar spots slightly off the main strip.

When I visited, the place was packed, and the wait time stretched to over 30 minutes, which took away from the overall experience.

While the flavours were good, the long wait and busy atmosphere made it feel less relaxed than other seafood options nearby.

If you're deciding between the two and don't mind travelling a little further, I'd personally choose Sonya's for a calmer setting and better overall value.

Fish Bones Warung still works if you want something central and don't mind the crowds, but it's not the most memorable BBQ experience in Kuta Lombok.

Fish Bones Warung is open daily from 11 am to 10 pm, making it suitable for a casual lunch or dinner if you're looking for central convenience despite the crowds.

Location

3. L'Oliver – Kuta Lombok

Rating: 5/5
Opening Hours: 8 am–10:30 pm
Price: IDR 120K–220K / USD 8–15 per pizza
Must try: Wood-fired pizzas

L'Oliver quickly became one of my favourite dinner spots in Kuta Lombok.

They often run a one-for-one pizza deal mid-week (worth checking in advance), which makes it even more appealing if you're travelling with friends.

I'm usually cautious with pizza — it tends to leave me feeling heavy and bloated — but L'Oliver completely changed my mind.

The pizzas here are genuinely excellent: light, crisp, and far from greasy. I was genuinely surprised to finish an entire pizza on my own without that usual weighed-down feeling.

The dough is well-fermented, the toppings are balanced rather than overloaded, and everything comes straight from a wood-fired oven.

If you're craving pizza in Kuta Lombok, this is an easy top pick and well deserving of its five-star rating.

As one customer put it:

“Amazing food & relaxed vibe. We ordered the four cheese pizza and it was absolutely incredible. Surprisingly, the place was quite empty, which worked out perfectly since we were 8 people and basically had it all to ourselves. My friends had the tuna dish and loved it as well.

No doubt I'd come back!”

Rating: 5/5

Must try: Greek mezze, grilled meats, fresh seafood

Elamu is one of those places that immediately feels like a step up from the usual dining options in Kuta Lombok.

The atmosphere is calm, intimate, and polished, making it an excellent choice for a date night or a more refined evening out. Soft lighting and attentive service set the tone without feeling stiff or overly formal.

The food is the real highlight. If you're craving proper Greek cuisine, Elamu delivers. The mezze plates are ideal for sharing, while the grilled meats are tender, well-seasoned, and beautifully balanced.

One satisfied customer stated:

“Absolutely loved my experience at Elamu Lombok. The food, service, and ambiance were all perfect from start to finish. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared, and the standout for me was the tzatziki, it's truly outstanding and makes anything you pair it with taste even better.”

Everything feels thoughtfully prepared, staying true to classic Greek flavours rather than being overly adapted.

Despite being rich and comforting, the dishes never feel heavy. It's the kind of place you leave satisfied and relaxed.

If you're looking for a place to slow down, dress up slightly, and enjoy genuinely good food, Elamu is an easy recommendation and a well-deserved 5/5.

Location

5. Gaucho Woodfire Steakhouse

Rating: 3/5
Opening Hours: 4 pm - 10 pm
Price: IDR 300K–600K / USD 19–38 per dish
Must try: Wood-fired ribeye, signature cocktails, fine wine selections

For those seeking a more upscale dining experience in Kuta Lombok, Gaucho Woodfire Steakhouse hits the mark.

I was immediately drawn in by the dramatic interior — warm lighting, an open kitchen, and sleek wooden accents that create a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere.

The star of the menu is, without a doubt, the wood-fired steaks. I tried a ribeye cooked to perfection: smoky, tender, and bursting with flavour.

The staff recommended pairing it with a cocktail from their creative menu, and the combination elevated the meal even further.

The curated wine list also makes it a great spot for a leisurely evening with friends or a special dinner.

Open daily from 4 pm to 10 pm, Gaucho Woodfire Steakhouse is ideal for a refined night out after a day exploring the island.

Location

Lombok's café scene genuinely surprised me with how diverse, warm, and creative it has grown — all while keeping that easy, unhurried island charm.

Whether you're starting your morning with a smoothie bowl, settling into a leafy courtyard with a flat white, or ending the day over grilled seafood as the sun dips behind the hills, each spot adds something memorable to the experience.

With everything set close together and new places popping up every , it's the kind of destination where café-hopping becomes part of the journey rather than just a meal stop.
