Severance Is Back! Talk About the Season 2 Premiere Here

One thousand fourteen. That’s how many days have passed since the final episode of Severance season one aired—and today, January 16, 2025, when the season two premiere drops on Apple TV+ (a few hours earlier than expected). It’s a long time by any measure, but especially in today’s fast-paced world of pop culture. Was it worth the wait?

If you’ve read our review, you know we think it was. The season two premiere picks up right where season one left off, and while it doesn’t answer all your questions right away, it at least gives you more information and context to think about. io9 will have a full episode recap and breakdown on Friday once more people have seen the episode (on Monday, we’ll also have some quotes from showrunner Dan Erickson about a few of the episode’s biggest spoilers), but for now, we’ve left you with this: a place to talk to your fellow Lumon employees about all the happenings for your favorite innies Mark S., Helly R., Dylan G., and Irving B.

If you forgot what happened in season one and need a refresher before watching season two—catch up at this link. We also spoke to star Adam Scott about the wait between seasons, Erickson about the endgame for the series, and Lumon bosses Patricia Arquette and Tramell Tillman about their roles at the company, where the work remains mysterious and important. Basically, we’ve got you covered going into the premiere

Now, it’s your turn. What was your favorite part of the finale? Did the episode get you excited for the new season? Talk about all that and more, with full spoilers, below. And, again, check back this Friday, and every Friday through March 21, for all things Severance.
